10,000 PAGE VIEWS!!!

I MADE IT!!!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I finally reached a groundbreaking 10,000 page views! Well, I actually reached it a couple days ago but I didn't have a post prepared and had to type it up after I reached 10,000. Anyway, I don't have any kind of special video or anything, but I just wanted to give a deeply sincere "thank you" to all of you people who have been coming to my blog over the past 6 months! And to everyone who's been here since... well, even the old website, isn't crazy how far this has come?! Now, if you do the math (which I have), then you can see that 10,000 page views in 6 months is equal to around 55 page views a day! This is truly incredible! I am so blessed to have all of you good friends and even the readers I haven't met in my life who have helped me get this far! Really, there isn't much to say except "thanks" and I can't say that enough, so...

THANKS!!!!

OK, now this seems like really small type. Anyway, before I go, I just wanted to talk about a few things. First, for everyone who likes all the stop motion animation videos that I've done, I do know that I've been lacking in that area lately and I promise to start making more as soon as I can. As for videos all together, I've been lacking very much, so I will try to get more work done on those because I actually have several videos that I can do but I haven't been working on. It's been hard enough just trying to find time to blog because I've been so busy with school and such. But yes, I will be trying to work on videos more often.

And one more thing before I go; I have a quick update on Matthew Davis and the state of his grandma, Karen. Recently, the doctors said that they would try to make her better one more time and if that didn't work, then they wouldn't be able to treat her anymore. Well, they tried and it didn't work. So please, please, please be praying for Karen, Lisa, Matthew, and the whole family in this tough time that they're in right now. I know that they would appreciate it very, very much. If you'd like to see what Matthew's been up to lately, please check out his blog by clicking on these blue letters right here. Again, please be praying for the Davis's!

Also, I might have told you this before, but I have a separate page on my blog which you can find right below the blog header in the top bar of this webpage called "More Brady". I recently updated that page with more info, and I'd definitely recommend you check it out! Also, you might have noticed a gray bar on the right of your screen when you logged onto my blog today. That is the infamous sidebar from the older version of my blog that is now available on the "dynamic blogger view" (which is the design of my blog right now). It's just in the works right now so I may update it later, but at least it's there now, so please check it out! Also, over on the OREOS blog, I did a blog post celebrating that blog getting 1,000 page views and the OREO cookie turning 100 years old, so please check that out as well. Valentines Day 2012

Hello everyone, welcome to the blog! Sorry I couldn't do this yesterday but... HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I hope you all had a great Valentines Day and that you ate lots and lots of chocolate, because I know I did. So to start off my little post, here's a look at my Valentines Day card for this year. Enjoy!

Get it? You R2 good to me? :-P Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my card! And now for my Valetines Day roundup!

1: I woke up.
2: I got ready to go.
3: I went with my mom to Mary Rose and Jane's school to see their Valentines Day activities.
4: Maggie and my mom and I went shopping and encountered a beer truck that parked right behind us.
5: We ate chocolate.
6: We went home to find more chocolate on our front porch and a cool Valentines Day string of hearts (thanks to the Gleason's and the Duggan's).

7: I ate an AWESOME sandwich with Swiss Cheese on it. AWESOME.
8: I did school.
9: We went to Walmart to pick up my Valentines Day cards.
10: I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides action figures which I thought I would never ever see again.
11: I got two awesome LEGO mini-figures.
12: I listened to The David Crowder*Band on my iPod.
13: I played outside with Jane, Maggie, and our neighbors.
14: I had an awesome dinner.
15: I got one of the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides action figures that I though I would never ever see again (thanks to Jane).

16: We ate a whole pound of See's Chocolate.
17: I watched Maggie play "Just Dance 3" on the Wii.
18: I SLEPT.

The Weekly Review #16 and New Contest

Good morning everybody, and welcome back to The Awesome Blog! I am so incredibly excited for today's review because I finally get the chance to review one of the greatest (if not, THE greatest) albums of all time from the best band of all time... The David Crowder*Band! The album is called Give Us Rest or (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys]), and as you've already heard me talk about in posts such as this one, this album is the final piece of work by The DC*B. But of course, they wanted to go out with a BANG, so this album has... drum roll please...

34 TRACKS!

You heard me right ladies and gentlemen, 34 TRACKS! But the CD (or in this case, CD's) is separated into different sections, like an opera. My review will be laid out in those sections, but since a track-by-track review of a 34 song album would be too long for a single post, I have a plan. This review is part 1 of my Give Us Rest review (a review of disc one) and the start of my new contest. Next week's review will be part 2 of the Give Us Rest review (a review of disc two) and the conclusion to the contest, in which you find out who wins. Now, since that's done, let's begin my track-by-track review of The David Crowder*Band's Give Us Rest or (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys])!

Section 1: The Entrance (or, the introit)

The first song on the album is called "Requiem Aeternam Dona Eis, Domine". This song is, well, not a song. It's kinda just the introduction to the album, and leads very nicely into the second song. But before I get to that one, let's talk about what's in this one. At first, you just hear footsteps, and then some church bells kick in. After a while, a big door opens and the person walks inside. When inside, you hear a priest (played by Jake Abell) saying "Requiem Aeternam Dona Eis, Domine", and other Latin words. There are actually quite a lot of songs on this album with Latin in it, but more on that later.

Then it leads nicely into the next song, "Oh Great God, Give Us Rest", which is such a beautiful song. I actually was able to make a list of the ten best songs from this album, and this one is on it. And those are the song that you really need to buy first if you don't want to buy the whole thing. But really, this album is supposed to be an experience that you're supposed to hear all together. It's like a big play! But about this song; it starts with a nice piano part (that I actually learned a bit of) and leads into a nice big finish, drums and all, with David singing "Let it shine! Let it shine! On and on, on and on, come alive!" Really, this is a song that you have to hear to believe its awesomeness.

And like the previous Crowder album, Church Music, this song has little "transitions" at the end of each song that lead into the next one. This third song, "Lux Aeternam Shine", is also a song sung in Latin, but by a choir of people, none of which are members of the Crowder Band. This is another one of those "non-songs" that make this album more of an experience that you have to hear all at once. At the end, it's got a nice transition into...

The next song, which is called "Come Find Me". This is another song off of the list of tracks that you MUST BUY off of this album. And, it's Sam Kiefer's (J.P. from Jedi Rocks III: Skull Rocks) favorite song off of the album. When I was listening to those Amazon previews before the album came out, the first and third songs didn't really have any music, and I had already heard "Oh Great God, Give Us Rest" (thanks to YouTube), so this was the first preview that really sparked my interest. I listened to that preview and I was like, "Oh yeah, this is David Crowder*Band!" Over all a really great song, and its spot on my top ten list is well earned!

Section 2: The Plea (or, the kyrie)

The first song in this section is called "God Have Mercy (Kyrie Eleison)", which is a song that also holds a place on my top ten list for this album. This time, there is a little bit of Latin (the words Kyrie and Eleison), and it's sung by a choir and David towards the end of the song. There aren't very many words to this song, but it's very catchy and very cool and definitely another song you should buy from this album!

The next song is called "Why Me?", and is the first acoustic song from the album. It's a very nice song, but it is a little short. Whenever it comes on, I find myself singing it, because it's very catchy. If you're the kind of person who likes the less rock-y and more acoustic songs, this is definitely for you!

This next song is called "Fall On Your Knees", and is another song off of my top ten list! And boy, it's so catchy! When I first heard this song I really thought that it would fit perfectly on some of their older albums like A Collision (Or 3+4=7) or Remedy. It really has a classic DC*B sound, and for that it deserves it's spot on the top ten list. Definitely worth buying!

Section 3: The Plight (or, the gradual and the tract)

The first track off of this section is called "A Burial". It's another one of those songs that's not a song, but it's definitely the coolest non-song on the album! It's the priest actor, Jake Abell, again but he's in the pouring rain during what is obviously a burial. Here's what he says in this track and why it's so cool.

As we, the community, have gathered here, I would like to pose a question:

How do you sum up a like in a few words?

How do you measure the weight of a soul in a matter of moments?

You do not.

You cannot.

But you can pray for rest.

And you can pray for light.

And you can remember... you can always remember...

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.
In memoria aeterna erit iustus, ab auditione mala non timebit.

And after that, it leads nicely into the next song... "Let Me Feel You Shine". No doubt, this is the best song on the album! It's so catchy and has such great lyrics, and it's all around awesome! This song was actually the first single (and the only single) released for the album and when I heard it for the first time, I told my dad that if all of the songs from Give Us Rest are this good, then it's gonna be a great record! As you can tell, this song is on my top ten list for this album, and if you really only had $1.29 and you wanted to buy a song from this record, then GET THIS ONE! Plus, Mr. Crowder is saying that it's the most personal song he's ever written. Well when he was writing it, I'm sure he thought "if this'll be my most personal song ever, I might as well make it the best song ever". And he did. Now, by easy math, you can put together a HUGE puzzle. This is my favorite song on Give Us Rest. Give Us Rest is my favorite David Crowder*Band album. The David Crowder*Band is my favorite band of all time. So, by default, this is MY FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME! Please, do yourself a favor and get this song. However, since this is an album with transitions between each song, you might not want to buy this song from Give Us Rest, unless you are buying the whole album. What you do is click on this link and purchase the radio version so that it'll sound like a stand-alone song. Whatever you do, you'll still have this awesome song to listen to!

After the best song of all time comes a nice little tune called "Reprise #1", which is a reprise of "Oh Great God, Give Us Rest". A very relaxing piano piece that is nice to get if you liked "Oh Great God, Give Us Rest".

After that is a track titled "Blessedness of Everlasting Light". Funny story; the night that I got this album four days early, we were going to dinner with some friends. When we were leaving dinner, we were standing out in the cold for a while and I was so excited and cold at the same time that I started jumping around in circles and singing this song. It's a pretty catchy song that I definitely recommend you pick up.

The next song is very interesting as a title alone! It's called "The Sound of Light". Who ever knew what light sounded like?! Well, I do now! A very interesting track, but if you want the songs with lyrics, this isn't your type of song. Very cool sounds in it though!

Another song without lyrics follows the last track, and this one is called "Interlude". It's got some very cool piano work in it that is very impressive, and if you're a piano person, this is your kind of song!

Section 4: The Sequence (or, the dies irae)

To start off the last section of this review is one of the most interesting features of the album. The last seven songs on the album are called "sequences". This first sequence, called "Sequence 1", is a very cool tune with a very rock-y feel. It also feels like there's meteorites falling from the sky and my roof is falling in. What that's saying is that there are some really cool sound effects in this song!

"Sequence 2" is another song on the album with a choir singing in Latin, but this time it's no David, and only the choir. The majority of this song is in Latin, but there are a few parts in English. Basically, it's a cool choir song, and if that's what you like, then get this track! it just goes to show you that this album has every kind of music in it!

Speaking of different kinds of music, this song, "Sequence 3", is another track without lyrics. Just so you know, if you think that there are tracks on here that aren't worth spending $1.29, then you're missing the whole point. This album, like I've probably said quite a few times now, is meant to be listened to as a whole. With that said, this is a track with a pretty cool beat that I think would sound better with lyrics, but is fine just how it is. You should definitely try listening to the preview of this one, because it's an awesome beat!

The next song, "Sequence 4", is a very great song with David and Mark singing about God saving us from our sins. A very beautiful tune that I definitely recommend listening to if you need some peace or need to hear the truth.

This next track, "Sequence 5", is very reminiscent of "Sequence 1". They're both very rock-y and both have a very cool sound to them. For the rock fans out there, this is definitely a song that you should pick up.

"Sequence 6" is a very simple song of David singing "I bow low with all my heart" several times. It's very much like "Sequence 4", in that they're both very calm and relaxing songs, and if that's what you like, then I recommend this song to you!

And now for the final song for this part of the review. "Sequence 7" is a great little track (with lyrics), and even though it's kinda short, I love it! It's such a great closing to the 1st CD, and my favorite out of all of the sequences! Also, kudos to Hogan for his work on this song; it was great!

The J10 Part 1: Give Us DC*B

Hey there everybody, thanks for coming to the blog today! The video in today's post is part one of a three-part video series about the events that occurred on and around the day of January 10th, 2012. The next two parts, about my new iPod and some new Star Wars books, will be coming soon! But part one is about the incredibly awesome David Crowder*Band, and my quest to get my hands on their latest and last album, Give Us Rest or (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys]), and to get a FREE extra copy of their 2008 CD+DVD combo pack, Remedy Club Tour Edition. And I'm not gonna talk about contests until my next review. Actually, I am. Something that I wanted to clear up from the video is when I say in the end that you can enter the contest right now, well, you can't. Just wait a few days. The Weekly Review #15

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog! Right away when you clicked on today's post you probably thought two things. For one thing, you probably were amazed that there's actually a new review up! And secondly, you thought, "why in the world is Brady reviewing a Disney princess movie?" Well, to answer that, it was my little sister Maggie's birthday, it came out just around the time of her birthday, and she wanted to see it. Plus, it's not a bad thing to review this, right? So in that case, let's get onto the review!

Now for a little history lesson. On November 13th, 1991, the Walt Disney Feature Animation company released their 30th full length animated film, Beauty and the Beast, based on Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont's fairy tale, La Belle et la Bête. It's release was a major success, and as of January 2012, the film has made $418 million in box office earnings (not including this 3-D release). The film won plenty of awards, including three Golden Globe's, five Grammy's, and eleven others. It was also the first animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. In 2011, the Disney film The Lion King was re-released in 3-D for a limited time. Disney is apparently going to continue doing this, because on January 13th of 2012, Beauty and the Beast returned to the theaters, and in 3-D (like The Lion King). As a special treat for the people seeing this 3-D movie in the theaters, Disney animated a short show called "Tangled Ever After", a story based off of the recent Disney film Tangled. I'll start off this post with a little review of that, and then get onto Beauty and the Beast.

"Tangled Ever After" Review

First off, if you haven't seen the movie Tangled, you really have to! I know that it's a princess movie, but by golly, it's a really great film! I even know quite a lot of boys that aren't ashamed to say that they've seen Tangled. Definitely a must see! Anyway, about "Tangled Ever After". The story is about Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding day gone completely wrong. Maximus the horse and Rapunzel's pet chameleon Pascal accidentally lose the wedding rings and have to run through the entire village to find them before they are needed in the wedding. Of course, there are plenty of crazy jokes, wild antics, and out of control situations in this short. One of the crazy things to happen in this short show is that Maximus and Pascal accidentally create a flood of wine that goes through the whole village! There were so many great laughs in this little animation, and I found that the rest of the audience in the theater were enjoying it very much! Over all, this was a very entertaining short show, and Maggie was particularly happy to be able to see Rapunzel and Belle in the same sitting!

Beauty and the Beast In 3-D Review

And now for the main purpose of this review. Now I'm not exactly going to review the movie, just the 3-D, because that's kinda the reason that Disney put this out. However, the movie has a great story to it, and I actually think that seeing this in theaters was the first time that I actually sat down and watched and understood the whole movie. But that 3-D... man, it was good! Now Beauty and the Beast isn't a film that was shot for a 3-D release, so it isn't chock full with cool 3-D effects. However, there were some things (such as rain) that looked really good! A funny story about this film's 3-D and my expectations; my sister, Mary Rose, said that the 3-D would probably be like when Belle swings around in the ballroom and her dress would come flying in your face. Then on the day that we went to go see the movie and that part came up, she was looking at the popcorn. :-P Anyway, I really think that for a film that was not originally shot for this kind of release, the 3-D was really great! One part in particular in which the 3-D was spectacular was in the beginning when it takes you through the forest and into the beast's castle. As it's going through the forest, parts of it really stick out and others seem farther away. That was definitely the best 3-D in the film! But the majority of the 3-D was just the main part of the frame sticking out more than the background. But it wasn't bad 3-D, it was very good! Over all, if you've been contemplating whether or not you should go see this and risk wasting your money, it was a good 3-D conversion, and seeing the new "Tangled Ever After" short is also worth it. Especially if you're a big Disney or Disney princess fan, you won't be disappointed! I was just seeing this as a movie-goer and really enjoyed it! I would especially suggest this to any little girls who either haven't seen Beauty and the Beast or loved it and jump at the chance to see it in theaters. Again, definitely worth your money!

Now before I go, I just want to mention something really quick! I've been working on this review for a while, but as of the night I posted this, it's the day that the great composer John Williams celebrates his 80th birthday! If you haven't heard of Mr. Williams, then maybe these movie titles will make you remember.

Yes, the John Williams who composed those films and plenty more, including the recent films War Horse and The Adventures of Tintin. It's hard to believe that for so many years we've been getting such great music from Mr. Williams! So happy birthday to John Williams, and thanks so much for all of the work you've done over the years!

As for me, I reached 8,000 page views, and the reason I didn't do a post is because the celebration posts are coming way too fast. So, my new plan is to only do a celebration post every 5,000 page views. But to acknowledge the fact that I reached 8,000 page views, thanks so much! Jedi Rocks II: The Special Edition

Hello all, and welcome to... THE AWESOME BLOG! Today I have an amazing video to show you, which I have been anticipating for a while. Well, anticipating you guys seeing it! A few weeks ago, Matthew Davis, Skull from the original Jedi Rocks film, and I were watching the first Jedi Rocks movie and we saw a few things that we wanted to change. And, enough to bring you guys a Star Wars tradition: a special edition! So, recently I posted the trailer for the JR Special Edition and... well, let's just say that I made a special edition for the trailer too. This video was supposed to be posted on January 24th, but due to hard drive issues (of which I discussed in a recent post), it had to be pushed back to today. But then again, nobody seemed to notice the post until after I revised it. But before I show you the video, there's something else that I have to tell you about. If you recall a post I did about those dumb bills, SOPA and PIPA, I actually spilled the beans about the upcoming Jedi Rocks prequel. So, chronologically, the video below is now the second installment in the Jedi Rocks (now) trilogy; which is why it says "Episode II" in the opening crawl and the title of my post. Jedi Rocks Episode II: The Special Edition

And since we're talking about Matt, I have to talk about something really quick before I go. Matthew's Grandma, Karen, is dealing with a tough case of cancer right now, and today they are flying out to Seattle for a big surgery that they're very nervous about. Please pray for them or keep them in your thoughts during this tough time, and they would appreciate it very much! New BradyBoy Productions Video Intro & Sam Reacts to the "Jedi Rocks Holiday Special" Trailer

Hey everyone, and welcome back to the Awesome Blog! Today I have two brand new videos to show you; some brand spankin' new, and some old new. Anyway, the first video is a little twelve second video that will be played right at the start of each and every one of my videos... the official BradyBoy Productions intro clip! So, without further ado, the clip itself!

I know, awesome, right? So, I thought that the first time that I would actually get to use that was in the "Jedi Rocks Special Edition" (which is coming out soon)... but as it turns out, I was completely wrong. I meant to post this video a while ago (actually, before the holiday special came out), but I just never got to it. But one day at church (in December of last year), Matthew and I discovered that Sam hadn't seen the "Jedi Rocks Holiday Special" trailer yet. And, with such a beautiful trailer as that one, he needed to see it! So, we showed it to him, and I happened to have my camera so that I could film his first reactions towards the amazing trailer! And to clear something up even before you watch the video, Sam is not a mean person, he is just joking around! OK, now press play.

7,000 Page Views Celebration

Hey there everyone, welcome back to the Awesome Blog! It's a relief that I'm here, but you know what, I didn't expect Congress to pass those bills. Also, to explain why I've been a bad blogger (again) lately, it's a hard-drive problem... again. But this time, the computer didn't crash. LEGO Stop Motion Lightsaber Effect

This is a picture of something that I've been working on lately. It's not the complete video (which will be coming soon), but it's just to give you an idea of what a lightsaber effect will look like in my stop-motion animation projects. Enjoy!

Talk About Passion 2012: White Flag

Now I want to talk about something that has to do with... the David Crowder*Band, the best band of all time! Every year, the great people at the Passion City Church, including Mr. Louie Giglio, put on a big concert event for any college students who want to grow closer to God... and enjoy a great concert! One of the bands that frequents the conferences is the amazing DC*B. On every Passion record, there's always a great song by the band. For example, in 2010 the DC*B performed a cover of the song "Like A Lion", and in 2011, they performed their song "Shadows" from Church Music along with a christian rapper named Lecrae. Since the band's final album, Give Us Rest or (A Requiem Mass In C [The Happiest of All Keys]), premiered a few days after the 2012 Passion conference, this years event was the last official concert of the David Crowder*Band. So of course, I am here waiting in anticipation for the DC*B songs on the upcoming album. As you can see from the picture above, it lists all of the songs that will be on the White Flag album. If the text is to small for you, the songs are...

Now, there aren't any songs from that list that I recognize right away. However, a new song is better than an old one, in some cases...

So that crosses out one of the songs off of the list as a brand new and never performed David Crowder*Band song that will be on the new Passion record! Excitement is in the air! Now, let's talk about the song from the video above... "All This Glory". First off, the reason that the video stops at certain points is because it was recorded online from the official website streaming the 2012 Passion conference and there were a lot of people online. Anyway, about the song. When I first listened to it, it didn't really click with me. And I know that it's a lot like some of my favorite David Crowder songs, but the different parts of the song just didn't seem to go together. However, the more I listen to it, the more I love it! And, there's always the chance that some of the other songs off of the list are new Crowder songs, so I really and truly can NOT wait until March 13th. Plus, it's a Passion record, so it's safe to assume that they'll make a deluxe edition... which leaves more space for more DC*B. All in all, I'm really excited to own "All This Glory" and all of the other songs from the CD of the last David Crowder*Band concert.

David Crowder*Band Talk

Speaking of the David Crowder*Band, I have a theory to state. Lately on Twitter, Jack, B-Wack, Mark and Mike D. have been posting pictures of a building and hash-tagging #asterisksoundstudio. It was very peculiar, so I decided to investigate. Long story short, I found... the site. There isn't much to it yet, but I'm sure that more will come. Now, my theory is that since David and Hogan seem to have nothing to do with Asterisk*Sound, Jack, B-Wack, Mark, and Mike D. are all staring a new band. Because really, why else would you be making a new recording studio? Anyway, I'm really excited for the future of Asterisk*Sound, and I'm very interested to see what David and Hogan will be up to since the DC*B is over. If you find out any news, you know how to get me.

Star Wars in 3-D Talk

First off, I'm very sorry that I haven't brought this up before, but... Star Wars is coming to theaters again! I know... AWESOME!!! I really don't know why I haven't talked about this before, but I need to discuss it before it comes out... which is very soon. But before I get into the talk, check out the official movie trailer below!

Ahh, it's so much cooler when it's that big. So as you can see, the first Star Wars film that they will be putting out is Episode I: The Phantom Menace. If you're thinking "why start with that one and why not do Episode VI?", then here's an explanation. Over the next six years, Lucasfilm Ltd. is going to re-release all six of the Star Wars films in 3-D... and in order. Now, that's not a bad thing to me, I'm just glad that they're doing this! And to explain my excitedness, here are the reasons why I'm excited to see all six SW films in theaters!

The Phantom Menace: Podracing will be awesome in 3-D, and this movie came out in 1999... the same year that I was born!

Attack of the Clones: The Geonosis battle will look really cool in 3-D!

Revenge of the Sith: Are you kidding me? This movie will look AMAZING in 3-D! Plus, I remember being in Kindergarten and I was the only Star Wars fan in the class and my teacher was telling us not to go see this movie because it was PG-13... and now... I CAN SEE IT IN THEATERS! MWAHAHAHA!!!

A New Hope: This one is the easiest. Seeing one of the highest grossing films of all time in theaters for the first time... wow... this one will probably be the most successful out of the six 3-D films. I can't wait for 2015!

The Empire Strikes Back: To get to see everyone's reactions (even the people who already know) when Vader reveals that he's Luke's father... man, that'll be cool. By the way, if that was a spoiler to the film, why haven't you seen it already?! ;-)

Return of the Jedi: Well, with this being my favorite film of the Star Wars saga, it'll all-together be an awesome experience. And when Jabba's sail barge blows up, I want Hutt guts up IN MY FACE! OK, I don't really need that...

But anyway, I am very excited for The Phantom Menace in 3-D, and I can't wait for all the other films in theaters again as well! Speaking of 3-D, be looking out for my next weekly review, in which I review the classic Disney film Beauty & the Beast in 3-D!

George Lucas Talk

And now for the last (and saddest) bit of news. One day, I was checking my email inbox, and I saw a new post in my RSS inbox for TheForce.net. When I read the title, I was shocked and I knew that it had to be a joke. But sadly, it wasn't. You may have heard the news already, but I'm telling you myself now... George Lucas is retiring. He said to the New York Times that he was done with "all of this". His latest film, Red Tails, was just released and is apparently very popular at the box office. Rick McCallum, who has helped with many of George's films, says that "after Red Tails, George has done everything that he wanted to do". However, there is some good news coming from this New York Times article. Ladies and gentlemen, George Lucas is actually going to make one more film... INDIANA JONES 5! Yes it's true, George, Steven Spielberg, and Harrison Ford are going to make one last Indiana Jones film! I am personally VERY excited about this, and even if it takes a while, I'll just be glad to have another Indy film. But still, it's sad that Mr. Lucas is retiring. I have been very influenced by all of his work, and I wish him many more great years of his life. To check out the full article from the New York Times with George, click here.

David Crowder*Band Rockumentaries (Updated 1/17/12)

Hey there people! The update is on the bottom!

Hey everyone, I recently came across these videos on the David Crowder*Band YouTube channel and I just had to show them to you! So the band made these funny videos called "rockumentaries" and posted them on their channel. I went to their channel to watch old videos and came across these. I was laughing so incredibly hard after the first one, so I watched all the other ones too. Let me tell you, these guys know how to make someone laugh! I was so into these videos that I decided to posts them on my blog to show you guys. You don't have to watch them all now, but they're here for you to watch whenever you want. And you don't even have to know anything about these guys to watch the videos, cause you'll learn everything you need to know in the videos. And speaking of which, let's get to the videos!

And now for the update part of this post! On the day before the final David Crowder*Band album, Give Us Rest, was released, they decided to post another rockumentary! This one is about how the band ends after Give Us Rest and how they all get jobs afterwards... which some of them are not good at. But worst of all, Jack doesn't know that the band is over, due to other... distractions. Now, one thing to point out is that at the end it says "to be continued". Now I don't know about you, but I'm sure that that means another rockumentary is on it's way soon. Well, I'll keep you posted if there is one! Jedi Rocks: the Special Edition Trailer

One of the most popular BradyBoy Productions movies of 2011 is coming back to your computer screen... in stunning HD 1080p! And you might just be thinking "oh cool!" right now, but there's some questions that you might be asking that I think I should answer.

1: Why a special edition?

Because the other day Matthew came over and we watched Jedi Rocks together and saw some things that we wanted to change. And we thought we should share it with you guys!

2: Will we be able to watch the old version again after the new one comes out?

Yes, that version will still be available to watch on my YouTube channel (more on that later).

3: Will there be any deleted scenes added to the movie?
Not exactly, but there will be new footage in the special edition.

If you've ever been to First Christian Church within the last year, then you've seen our awesomely slick announcement videos. Well if you've wondered if I edit them, I don't. That's my dad's job. But every week, we try to get a new person to do them. I've done it before, but they weren't good enough to be featured on the Awesome Blog. And I mean because of my acting. But I did the announcements this week and I loved it! But before I show you that, I want to show you some other cool announcement video. Why Am I 66 Page Views Late?

OK, I have way to many posts to do at the same time. Well, I guess it's my fault for being a bad blogger lately. But today's post is all about my awesome run of 6,000 (and 66) page views! I am so excited! Thank you so much for all of the support! I know that it wasn't that long ago that I did a 5,000 page views post, but that's because I have been a really bad blogger lately, as I said before. Don't worry, I wasn't grounded or anything and the computer didn't break. I've just been really busy lately. I actually have been doing work on my blog, but not publishing posts. I had a big plan to do an "Awards for 2011" post, and all of the winners got a copy of my new short film, LEGO Indiana Jones: A Christmas Carol. However, I was told how expensive DVD's are. And so, what I said in my 5,000 page views post is now wrong. That awards post... false. However, you will still be able to see the movie. I don't care how long it takes, but I am going to upload the whole 9 minutes of the movie... in 1080P, the highest quality that a YouTube video can be (hey, that rhymed)! That will be coming very soon, but until then, you can view an unedited preview of the movie here. I would embed that video here, but YouTube is weird. And by unedited, I mean NO green screen editing and NO voice over. But the clip is of my favorite piece of stop motion animation that I've ever done! If you want to see it, be sure to click here. Give Us Rest or (a Requiem Mass in C [the Happiest of All Keys]) UPDATED 1/3/12

HEY YOU! THE UPDATED PART IS AT THE BOTTOM!

So you all know that I'm a huge fan of the David Crowder*Band. If you don't, you're either new, our you don't read the blog much. Or you just unluckily miss the posts with DC*B content. Anyway, several months ago I learned the sad news that the band would be (breaking up is the wrong phrase) ending after one more album. Well, they "accidentally" popped out a Christmas album last month (see my review of the album here). Then the real final album kicks in. In January of next year, the DC*B's final album will be released. Are you ready for this part? OK, here it is... the album cover.

Awesomeness. So far, there is only one single out: the song "Let Me Feel You Shine". My dad and I listened to it, and it totally rocks! So far, that's my favorite song from the album. Then again, I've only heard two of the songs. But still. So over all, I am extremely excited for Give Us Rest and I can't wait to pre-order it! And yes, Poppa, we are pre-ordering it. :-) If you find out anything interesting about the album (how many songs it'll have, new songs from the album, etc.) please let me know. So far, I know about the songs "Give Us Rest" and "Let Me Feel You Shine". I also know when it comes out. Anything other than that, please tell me! I am extremely excited for the album! And I also have a message for David Crowder. What I would definitely be excited for is if you do the album (which, duh, your doing), then do a concert film for the 7 Tour! Then, release an album with the audio of the songs from the concert film, like with the Remedy Club Tour. There's no way that I wouldn't buy all of that! No way!

UPDATE!

I recently made some great finds about the new Crowder album, Give Us Rest. Below is a picture that David took of one of the CD's. He says that they are "printed and ready for us to hear them!" I personally don't know how I'm going to pay for this. Since I have an abundance of Barnes & Noble gift cards, I could buy it in the electronics section. But what if they don't have it there? I really want to get it the day it comes out, and I'm probably going to have to pay for it myself. My dad wants to buy it on iTunes, so he probably won't mind paying for the physical version, right? Well we already had that conversation, and I think I'm getting the CD by myself. BUT HOW? Oh, wait, me and my dad are talking about it as I type this. He says if he buys the physical version, then he'll have to buy it twice (one physical, and the other for the computer). I said that if we got the physical version that we could rip the songs onto the computer and have both for the price of one. Then he asks why I want the physical version. Because it's their last album, so it'll be a cool collectible kind of thing to have. It stopped there. Hmm... maybe he'll soften up to the idea... anyways, here's the picture.

Oh yeah, I am super duper excited! Now, there's another part to the update. I recently went looking for this on Amazon, and they don't have the full album available yet, but they are (so far) the only website with previews of each and every song on the album! And you might ask, how many songs are there, Brady? THIRTY-FOUR STINKIN' SONGS MAN. THIRTY-FOUR. THAT'S 34 SONGS. TWO CD'S. 34 SONGS. NO STINKIN' WAY. I am so amazingly happy. End your awesome and long run of making music with such a big album. I really appreciate these guys and how much they want to make their fans happy. Now, in one of their older albums, A Collision (Or 3+4=7), they included 22 songs on the album. In that album, there were about 4 to 6 songs that were really short. Some even didn't have music and it was just some noise. Now before I mention this song, let me point out that I love their long titles. One song that was like that is a song called "(Repeat / Return) Or When the Seventh Angel Sounded His Trumpet, And There Were Loud Voices In Heaven, Which Said: "The Kingdom of the World Has Become the Kingdom of Our Lord and of His Christ, and He Will Reign Foreverandever Etc..." That right there is one epic title. But the song is only 11 seconds long and all it is is static. But on Give Us Rest, it's nothing like that. Yes it does have those songs, but there are quite a lot of long songs to make up for that. Below is a list of every single song off the album.

And the crowd(er) goes "AHH!!! WHY ARE THEY SO AWESOME?!" Now, I've listened to all of the previews on Amazon, and I've got some speculation to do. First off, from what it sounds like, the first song has a transition at the end into the next song, which is what the band did in every song on their last album Church Music. While I don't think that every song on this album will be like that, there's always the possibility. Another thing that really stands out is that at the end of CD 1, there are 7 "sequences." Some of these songs are a little short, but there are some really awesome ones. particularly sequences 5 and 7. And it turns out, I've actually heard a few of these songs. You know from the old part of this post that I've heard "Oh Great God, Give Us Rest" and "Let Me Feel You Shine." But it turns out that I've also heard the song "Sometimes" before. On the album from the latest Passion Conference (Passion 2011: Here for You) there were two Crowder songs. One was a new version of the Church Music song "Shadows" now featuring the christian rapper Lecrae. That... was epic. You should really listen to it sometime. Next time you see me, ask if I have my iPod so I can play it for you. But the other Crowder song on the album is a tune called "Sometimes." I figured that it was just them doing a cover of somebody else's song. Well, it's on Give Us Rest, so it's either a song that they loved so much they decided to cover it and put it on their album (like with "How He Loves"), or it's their own song and they let Passion release a live version before their album even came out. I'm hoping that it's the second one. But there are quite a lot of songs that I'm really looking forward to from this album.

Now about buying it, there's a christian bookstore right now that's saying if you pre-order it (the physical version) from them, then it'll only cost you $12. But when you just buy it after it comes out, it'll be it's regular price. I just let my dad know about that, so I'll see what he says. And, the album is available for pre-order on iTunes. But Amazon is still the only place with previews. And for now, that's as much as I can speculate! So far, there's been no special pre-order packages at the DC*B store, but maybe they'll still do one. There's not much time though, so I don't expect them to do one. However, it doesn't matter how I get the physical version as long as I have it. Right? So please tell me what you thought of my speculation and if you're a DC*B fan, let me know what you want to see from the band on their farewell album. I can't wait to get my hands on it! By that, I mean my real hands, not my digital ones!

UPDATE FROM 2012!

This just in! The Official David Crowder*Band store now has a special pre-order package deal! You can pre-order the regular CD for $12.00, you can pre-order the exclusive Vinyl Edition for $40.00, or you can get the CD and Vinyl Bundle for $50.00! Now I know that the Vinyl makes it a little pricy, but it's vinyl... come on! It'll obviously be more money. I wish I had the kind of money to buy the bundle, but I'm just thankful to be able to get the CD in the first place. The picture to the left is the advertisement that I saw in that email that I mentioned in the last update to this post. I think this is how I'm getting it. The other day, my mom and I were talking about Give Us Rest, and I was telling her about how I was wondering how I was going to pay for the album. This is how it went after that.

And the tone of voice that she was using during that conversation was the tone that she uses when she acts like she didn't do something for one of us kids... but actually did. So I'm starting to believe that my parents pre-ordered the album for me. And with a price like the one from the christian bookstore, how could you not? :-) If they didn't pre-order it, then I'm sure I can get it at Barnes & Noble. But I'm so afraid that they won't have it! But seriously, I'm worrying to much. There's actually some other news that I discovered. The very last song from the album, "Because He Lives," is actually not written by the DC*B. I don't actually know who it is by, but it's not them. I'm still glad that they included it on the album. And one last thing, I updated an earlier part of this post where I listed the songs that I was looking forward to the most. It now includes a few more songs that I'm looking forward to. But besides that, that's all for this update! I probably won't be doing any more updates to this post, because Jan. 10th is so close! I'm so excited! Hey guys, hows it going? I feel like I haven't blogged in forever. Well it's true that I haven't blogged in a few days, and you will know why in... hopefully a day or two. But today is a very special day in the world of... well, the world! It's Christmas Day! Merry Christmas everybody, I hope you're having a great day! If you got a very neat gift or you did something really cool or anything today, please leave a comment or send me an email about what it was! I got some very cool presents, and one of them was... a Barnes & Noble Nook! I love my Nook, it's just so awesome! Soon I plan to do a big Christmas post, which I didn't get to today. OOPS, TOO LATE! NOW IT'S 5,018! (Updated 1/14/12)

WOAH MOMMA, that was fast! I went to Blogger this morning and saw my page views bar at 5,018! I really have nothing else to say besides the usual "thank you," so I'll just get to the part where I give you something. So this gift is something very cool, and I guess you can count it as a late (a really late) Christmas present. I recently did a school project for the Charles Dickens book, A Christmas Carol. I had to read the book and then do my own version of it. So I decided to do a stop motion version. So yes, this is my first full-length stop motion project, and Josh & Willie will be second. And this really is a short film. It's not like a really short film (what I normally do) as in 3-5 minutes, but this thing comes in at a whopping nine minutes and twenty-one seconds! And at first, I had this big idea to do an awards post, and the winners would get a DVD copy of it, and then I found out how expensive DVD's are. So, I have to chose another way. When I first started my YouTube channel, I was so excited. There's actually a feature in iMovie (my editing program of choice) where you can upload your projects direct to YouTube. At first, I had a HUGE problem with it, and it didn't work. However, with the help of my dad, I figured it out! And as a result, I am uploading videos like crazy. And, they're all in HD 1080p, the highest quality that a YouTube video can be! And so, no matter how long it takes (because it will take a VERY long time), I am going to upload LEGO Indiana Jones: A Christmas Carol in HD 1080p for your viewing pleasure! I hope you enjoy it, and I plan to have it released on January 20th, the same day as the Jedi Rocks Special Edition! I plan to have a trailer for LEGO Indy released as soon as possible! But besides that, thank you so much for such a great run so far, and I hope to be blogging for years and years to come. I'm so thankful to have you guys and please continue to read the Awesome Blog! The Weekly Review #14 and "Wear Star Wars, Share Star Wars" Day 2011

Hey everyone, welcome back to the weekly review! Today I am going to review the recent movie from Disney Channel's hit TV show Phineas & Ferb. The movie is called Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension. I am a big fan of the show, and it's one of my favorite TV shows of all time. When I discovered that they were making a full-length movie, I was so excited! However, every time it was on TV, I was too busy to watch it. And so, I thank God for Netflix. So, lets get started with the review!

The movie is about how Phineas, Ferb, and Dr. Doofenshmirtz accidentally get trapped inside a different dimension after the boys help him re-build his Other Dimension-inator. Perry tries to stop them, but it could risk his job... and relationship with the boys. In the other dimension, Doofenshmirtz is the supreme ruler, and Perry must reveal his secret identity to the boys to save their dimension from being destroyed by the 2-D Doofenshmirtz. As I said before, I was not able to watch this when it was played on television, so when I actually found it on Netflix, I was really anticipating seeing it! When the movie starts, we find the boys, Candace, Perry, and 1-D Doofenshmirtz trapped and being thrown at a giant monster, while surrounded by lava. At first, you wonder "how did they all get here?" Well, in the scene closely following that, it starts the story all the way back from the beginning of their day. And it all starts out with a song about Perry! So far, every song about Perry on the show (and we've seen few) is amazing, and this song is no exception. One reason the song is interesting is that it shows how useful a platypus can be in your everyday life. On that particular summer day, it was Perry's anniversary of being with the boys. The boys decide to play a game of platypus badminton, and Perry isn't there to see it! But they decide that he should be able to what he wants on his day. So, they continue with the game, and accidentally launch themselves at Dr. Doofenshmirtz's apartment and his latest invention: the Other Dimension-inator. Of course, if you've seen the show before, then you know that Perry always disappears every day to go foil Dr. "Doof's" schemes. So the boys (who have no idea they're helping an evil scientist) are about to put the finishing touches on the invention, when Perry flies into the room. Doof knows his enemy as a platypus wearing a hat, and the boys know him as their pet... not a secret agent. So, as they turn around and point out that their pet named Perry is there (note, he isn't wearing his hat), Doof says "are all platypus's named Perry?" HAHAHAHA! I loved that part so much, and it was one of the more funny parts of the film. Another funny part that I liked was when 1-D and 2-D Doofenshmirtz are singing to each other and 1-D Doof asks where his other eye is (because 2-D Doof has an eye patch), and 2-D holds up a pouch and says "it's in this pouch!" I loved that part too. This movie definitely had some awesome comedy in it. But first, I have to say a few things about the new characters. There's 2-D Phineas and Ferb, who are not as active as 1-D Phineas and Ferb, but that gets taken care of. There's 2-D Buford who was part of "The Resistance," but he was so resistant, he started resisting them. There's 2-D Isabella, who is not that different from 1-D Isabella. There's 2-D Baljeet, who is equally as nerdy as 1-D Baljeet. There's 2-D Doofenshmirtz, who is a natural leader compared to 1-D Doof. There's 2-D Perry, who is actually on 2-D Doof's team as an evil Platyborg. There's also 2-D Jeremy, who is a good soldier. And last, but certainly not least, there's 2-D Candace. AWESOME CANDACE! 2-D Candace is the most awesome fighter I have ever seen in Phineas and Ferb. She is such a good fighter, and instead of trying to bust her brothers, she tries to bust Doofensmirtz. Candace is definitely my favorite 2-D character from the movie. Speaking of 2-D Candace, in a scene when 2-D Jeremy and 2-D Phineas and Ferb are busting 2-D Candace out of 2-D Doof's jail, Candace is lying down in a certain position that Princess Leia does in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope while she is in jail. At first I thought 'wow, that could be a Star Wars reference.' Then when Jeremy came in and said "I'm Jeremy Johnson, I'm here to rescue you!" I just knew that it was a Star Wars reference. Good job on the reference guys! This movie also has an awesome soundtrack. It features songs like the one about Perry that I mentioned earlier, one by Love Händel that was played in the climatic battle scene called "Robot Riot," and plenty more! It also features a song called "Kick It Up a Notch," featuring the one and only Slash! Yes, they got THE Slash to do a guitar solo for the song. Pretty cool stuff! I mean, I barely know who Slash is, but that's cool! OK, so my review is super long now and you have to go to work or something. So I'll just get to it and tell you my final thoughts. This movie completely ROCKS! Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh did an amazing job on this film! If they make another TV movie, I will gladly add it to my Instant Queue on Netflix. The action was great, the music was great, the plot and characters were great, everything about this movie was awesome! If you get the chance, definitely watch this movie, it is incredible!

As if this post wasn't long enough, I just want to share one more little thing before I go. On December 10th of 2010, I did a blog post on my old website about a little girl named Katie who was bullied at school because she was a girl who liked Star Wars. Well the Official Star Wars blog did a blog post saying that December 16th was officially "Wear Star Wars, Share Star Wars" Day. Or, "May the Force Be With Katie" Day. And if you've checked the date on your chocolate advent calendar, you know it's the 16th today. So, I just wanted to continue my (now) tradition and raise a little more awareness about Katie and all girls who are bullied for liking Star Wars. Where would Star Wars be without Leia, Padmé, Ahsoka, even YADLE?! WHERE?! So if you'd like to check out the SW Blog's 2011 post for Katie, click here (and look for my comment). There's no way. How did I get to 4,000 (I'm actually typing this at 4,144) page views within four months? Oh... yeah. YOU GUYS! THANK YOU SO MUCH! OH, SORRY, I'LL STOP YELLING, I'M JUST EXCITED. You do realize that 4,000 page views in four months is equals almost 33 page views a day?! So of course, by law, I must give you some sort of reward. If you read yesterday's post, then you might have read that there wouldn't be a trailer for the upcoming Jedi Rocks Holiday Special... well... yeah. That's a lie now. And just to warn you, it's not any ordinary trailer... it's gonna make you super excited for it, and you'll definitely be here on Christmas, right? Speaking of which, I'm also gonna talk about Christmas time right now. Like I just mentioned, the Jedi Rocks Holiday Special will be released that day. Plus, the OREOS are trying to do a Christmas song for a Christmas release, but we're not sure if that will definitely be happening, so don't get your hopes up. But the big thing is that I am doing a school project about the Charles Dickens story "A Christmas Carol". My mom told me that I had to read the book and make my own version of the classic story. So, I decided to do a stop motion animation version of it! And not only is it a stop motion version of "A Christmas Carol" but it's also a LEGO Indiana Jones version of it! With Belloq as Ebenezer Scrooge, Indiana Jones as Jacob Marley, and plenty more, the LEGO Indiana Jones Christmas Carol is coming December 25th! And of course after Christmas, I will do a big Christmas post for you guys. Chroma Key TEST

Hey everyone, welcome back. It's about a kid named Josh who really hates Stormtroopers! But after he blows up too many of them, he is forced into the Imperial Navy... just what he never wanted! After that, Josh decides to go to Shanghai, China with his friends, to make his life more exciting. But even after that, his life is still boring. And then, he meets Willie. Enjoy!

The Weekly Review #13

Hey guys, welcome back to the Awesome Blog and the weekly review. This week's review is about the last four episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the hit animated TV show from Lucasfilm. Now, I have done a CW review before, when this season of the show began. But recently, there was a four-part event in the series that blew my mind. The four episodes were about a raging battle on the planet Umbara. In the first episode, Anakin Skywalker and the 501st Legion are leading the battle, but Anakin is called back to Coruscant for a different job. In his place is the esteemed Jedi Master Pong Krell. At first, Captain Rex and the clones are honored to fight alongside him, but they discover that he's like that bad substitute you had in Middle School.

When I was getting ready to watch the first episode, "Darkness on Umbara", I was very excited! From seeing the preview and a couple of pictures, these episodes where bound to be great! In this episode, we are introduced to quite a few new characters. First off, we are introduced to the Umbaran race as a whole. They have plenty of cool ships, weaponry, and more. And then, of course, General Krell. But there's also a lot of new clones. First, we see the re-appearance of Captain Rex and ARC Trooper Fives (buddy of Echo, may he rest in peace). But we see brand new versions of the clone troopers Jesse and Kix, who where originally seen in the season two episode "The Deserter". But as for brand new clones, we meet Dogma, Tup, and Hardcase. Hardcase is my personal favorite, because he has such cool fighting techniques, and he has that awesome looking Z-6 Rotary Cannon. Tup is awesome because of his armor mostly, but he's also a good fighter. And Dogma probably has the most story to him. He is the only one in the squad who believes that General Krell's fighting techniques are good. Since you probably don't know what I mean by that, then read on. Earlier, I called General Krell a bad substitute because he has affective fighting techniques, but he has the highest casualty numbers in the Jedi Order. All the clones don't think that they should have to follow such dangerous orders when they could win the battle in a less deadly way. But Dogma believes that they should always follow the Jedi's orders. Throughout the first episode, Rex is trying to reassure the men that Krell is doing this for their own good, but he doesn't see yet that Krell does not like clones. But about the action in this episode, oh boy! There were so many cool action scenes in this episode, and my favorite is the end battle when the Umbarans place land mines in the street to expose the clones. When one of the mines goes off, the clones lie down and freeze. After a while, they get up and scan the ground for mines. But the Umbarans are all ready attacking, and a massive battle starts. There are also a few situations in this episode when Rex does something that he believes will not do any harm to their chances of winning, but Krell gets mad at him. But the reason that this is weird to me is because Krell isn't even helping fight, and he's never even present when the clones are fighting! Man, when I saw this guy in the season four trailers, he looked so amazingly awesome, but now I'm sick of him. But not as a character, because he makes the story interesting. This is definitely a great first impression for the Umbaran arc of episodes.

Episode two in this saga of episodes is called "The General", for the story development we get for Master Krell. Now, one thing that's cool about the beginning of this episode is that in the end of the last one, a battle has started, but it isn't finished. In the beginning of this episode, it continues. As for new things in this episode, we discover all new Umbaran war ships and technology. For example, the Umbaran Crawler Tank, the Umbaran Hover Tank, the Umbaran MHC, and the Umbaran Starfighter. Some of these where in the first episode, but I forget which ones. Anyway, the Umbarans have very cool technology. In the picture above, a clone is fighting the Umbaran Crawler Tank. My favorite bit of technology from this episode is the MHC. And another thing that I noticed about the Umbarans is that they do not give up! There's no way that they will give up. Well, eventually they might, but I didn't see any of that. But onto the clones and Krell for this episode. In the last episode, Rex stood up to Krell and got him to at least call him Rex instead of his CT number (which Krell did throughout the entire first episode), but he's still planning dangerous battle strategies. But in this episode, I noticed a lot of good teamwork between the clones. Even between Dogma and all the other clones, and even when Krell is constantly getting mad at them, they still work together very good. Especially in the end of the episode when they had to use rocket launchers to defeat an Umbaran machine, they made a plan (of their own, not Krell's plan) to defeat them, and they won the battle! This episode definitely had a great message of teamwork. But besides that, my memories of this episode are very vague. While I was watching the episode, I was eating dinner, so I was trying to eat and watch at the same time. I couldn't hear it that well (Mary Rose). But overall, great episode!

The third episode is called "Plan of Dissent". In this episode, Fives, Hardcase, and Jesse decide that they are fed up with Krell's suicide orders, so they decide to use some captured Umbaran Starfighters to take down the Separatist Supply Ship on their own. One thing that I liked from this episode is the cool night vision attachments that the clones put on their helmets. You can kinda see what it looks like in the picture to the left. Now, I must warn you that I am about to spoil something in the episode. If you don't want to be spoiled, just skip over a few sentences or so. So, in the first two episodes, I was a really big fan of the new clone trooper Hardcase because he was such an awesome fighter. Well in this episode when he and Jesse and Fives went to attack the Separatist Supply Ship, they got in a tricky situation. The droids had found out about them and started to attack. Hardcase came up with a plan to stop them and destroy the ship. But by using his plan, it would mean his death, because he would have to set of a bomb manually. In the end, he was destroyed in the ship's explosion, but Fives and Jesse made it out. This was very sad, but it really made me think. Hardcase reminds me a lot of a character from a season one episode called "Rookies", named Hevy, who was also a friend of Fives. And when Hevy died in "Rookies", it was because he came up with a plan to destroy a base which involved him manually setting off a bomb. Very interesting, and I bet that was an intentional nod from Dave Filoni (the supervising director of the show) and the crew. But about the action from the end, it was a very great space battle! Very fun to watch, and it shows yet again that the CW crew knows how to make an awesome space battle. I can't wait to see more space battles in the future! And another thing that I liked from this episode was when Krell was talking to Fives over a communicator and their conversation was a complete reference to A New Hope when Han Solo was talking to a Stormtrooper. That was an awesome reference. As for the episode, it totally rocked! This is probably my second favorite episode from this saga. But the best is yet to come.

The final episode in this saga is called "Carnage of Krell". In this episode, Rex must face a dark choice, as the clones discover the true enemy. Beware, spoilers galore ahead in my review. So, if you recall from the last episode, Fives, Jesse, and Hardcase disobeyed an order from General Krell, but only Fives and Jesse survived. Well, Krell finds out about their mission, and Krell finds it a waste of time to court martial them. So, he orders Rex to have a firing squad execute them. When I read that part online I stopped and was like WOAH! HOLD ON RIGHT THERE! I knew that they where not going to have clone troopers kill clone troopers on a show that kids watch, but still, WOAH! Oh, so even though they don't execute Fives and Jesse, they still have clones killing clones. Yeah, friendly fire is SCARY. So, after the clones disobey Krell and Dogma's orders to execute Fives and Jesse, Rex gets in trouble by Krell. However, a message is sent to Krell that the Umbarans are stealing clone trooper armor to sneak up on the republic forces. So, Fives and Jesse are saved from execution for a while. So, Krell sends out Rex and the clones to attack the Umbarans. When the battle starts, Rex discovers that the Umbarans are stealing clone armor from the clones from Obi-Wan's battalion. But then, one "Umbaran" is shot at by a clone from Rex's battalion, and his helmet falls off. Yeah. Nobody on the field is Umbaran. Rex notices and finally gets the fighting to stop. After some searching, they find the other battalion's leader: Waxer. Waxer is a very popular clone, as he was in numerous episodes of other seasons. Most memorably, in a season one episode called "Innocents of Ryloth" when he and his good pal Boil where on Ryloth saving a little girl named Numa, who is painted on Waxer's helmet in the picture above. When Waxer is found, Rex asks him who ordered them to attack Rex's squad. Want to guess? Uh huh, Krell. That coward. Rex asks all the surviving members of both squads to join together and arrest Krell. Then, the title of the episode is given purpose. Wow, for a show that was originally aimed towards kids, there is a lot of killing of clones in this episode. And worse, by what the kids think is a Jedi! However, in the end, Krell reveals his true purpose. But the action in this episode was amazing! Starting at the friendly fire part was when it got interesting. Not a lot of the episode was about Fives and Jesse's execution. Plus, I already knew they weren't going to be killed. But the friendly fire scene, woah. That was so intense and thrilling, I was at the edge of my seat! And then, when Waxer died, I was really sad. Not as sad as Echo's death (may he rest in peace), but I was more happy that Waxer painted Numa on his helmet. But then, it got really good. I was just watching this episode on my BIG computer, and the volume was up really loud, and it was in full screen. It was so amazing, and so dramatic! Over all, this episode was so amazing, and it was the best drama I have ever seen in TCW. And, to show my love for this episode even more, it is my favorite episode of TCW of all time. AMAZING episode, and huge props to Dave Filoni and the crew on the show, because this episode was just so amazing! But there's even more awesomeness after Krell goes berserk. But I won't go into that, cause I've spoiled enough for you. Remember, you can watch the full episode here. In fact, don't not click on that link, because you MUST watch this episode. DO IT! A FIVE-STAR EPISODE! AWESOME!!!

The Weekly Review #12

Welcome back to the weekly review everyone! This week is a very exciting review, not that long after this album's release. This is the David Crowder*Band's first (and last) Christmas album Oh for Joy. My dad bought the album as soon we found that it was available. Wow, it is amazing! But before I get into my thoughts as the album as a whole, I'll give you my thoughts on each individual song, in the order that they're played on the album. So, let's get started!

Song number 1: "Joy to the World". If you can guess, the songs on this album are the DC*B's versions of some classic Christmas songs. But about the song. This is my second favorite song of the album! Their upbeat version of the song makes it even more fun to listen to, and it's even a little dancy! The reason I chose this one as my second favorite song from Oh for Joy is because it's a very nice version of the song, and I love the song "Joy to the World" in the first place, and only the David Crowder*Band can make it better! Well, cheese and Star Wars can make it better, but I don't want to go there.

The next song is "The First Noel". This song also goes down the same path as "Joy to the World": more upbeat, and you can definitely sing this song whether you're Christmas caroling, or if you want to jam out to DC*B (which I do a lot). Definitely a great "re-mix" as well, and I understand why this is the most popular song from the album bought on iTunes!

The 3rd song is "Go Tell It On the Mountain". This song rocks! It's either my third or fourth favorite song from the album, because (again) it's more upbeat than the original carol, yet it's still awesome and Christmas-y. Yet another awesome addition to the album!

Oh boy, this'll be a good one! This next song is "Angels We Have Heard On High". This track is a very cool bluegrass version of the song! Very DC*B (they are all from Waco, TX), and they've done some other songs like this. For example, "I Saw the Light" and most of the songs from B Collision or (B is for Banjo), or (B Sides), or (Bill), or Perhaps More Accurately (...the Eschatology of Bluegrass) - EP. I love that title. Anyway, this song is perfect for any DC*B "hoedown" or any dance party or whatever. Awesome song!

The 5th song is the DC*B version of the classic carol "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel". This is my all time favorite song from the album! Man, this song just ROCKS! It starts out nice and quiet, and at the end, it gets nice and BIG. Just how I like 'em. This is also the only song from the album that I've never heard before. I thought this was the only song from the album that they originally wrote, but my dad told me that it was an old Christmas song. Still, I love the DC*B's version so much! It is just so amazingly awesome, that it's on my Best of David Crowder*Band Playlist: C Collision. So, if you only have one dollar and you really want a song from this album, GET THIS ONE! You will love it so much, and if you don't believe me, click here and look for the song. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

The 6th song is the DC*B version of "O Holy Night". This is where the live stuff kicks in. As it says on the inside of the album case, some of the songs where recorded live at Passion '11, and the rest where recorded in auditorium locker rooms all over the country. The first 5 songs from the album where the locker room ones. Starting here, it's all live. What I like about this song is that it starts out just like the traditional carol, and then... the "nice and big" thing I was talking about for "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" comes in. This is another great Crowder Remix of another great Christmas carol.

The next song is another familiar tune called "Silent Night". One thing that I definitely noticed in this track was that (especially in the beginning) it was mostly the audience singing. Yes, there was singing from David, but there was so much audience singing! I kinda wished there was more singing from David, but the fact that there wasn't does not ruin the song. It was awesome! Especially if you like the original tune, you'll love this song!

Now this song is the one that made me put "Go Tell It On the Mountain" in a tie for third: "Carol of the Bells / Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)". This song totally rocks! It starts out with a little speech from Mr. Crowder, and then... it leads into a huge guitar rock-and-roll version of "Carol of the Bells"! It is so rock-and-roll, And while the whole band did awesome in this song, Jack and Mark did amazing stuff with their guitars! They all did such a great job on this song, and I actually just officially made this song my third favorite on the album. Sorry "Go Tell It On the Mountain", but this song rocks! Definitely a great version of the song! IT ROCKS!

So, that's all for my review of the latest David Crowder*Band album, Oh for Joy. It was definitely great fun to do, and I hope you enjoyed it. 2,000 PAGE VIEWS!!!

WOOHOO! I've made it to 500 before, and even 1,000. 1,500 and now... 2,000! The time has now come for me to do my celebration post... with a very special surprise as well. This post was actually just supposed to be a video, but then I noticed that I reached 2,000 page views, so I thought (to give the video more emphasis) that I would make this video a special treat for you readers and friends. So lately, I've been doing some tests of something that I've been wanting to do for a while... stop-motion animation. I always loved watching people's videos of LEGO Star Wars action, and I always wanted to do it. But it looked to hard, and I tried a simplified version several months ago. It looked terrible. So, when the time finally came (about five days ago), I did it. below is a collection of six stop-motion tests that I made lately. Enjoy, you deserve it!

Test #1 took 15 pictures to create. That was also my first try at real stop-motion animation ever, so it'll always be kinda sentimental. The second test was a true victory, because I discovered that some pieces of animation can be really short, but take longer to create than the ones that are longer in the end. That one took 16 pictures. Now, even though it was only one more picture than the first one, it took a lot of time because in every shot, I had to move the minifigures' legs (and there's four minifigures), which was really time consuming. The next test took 45 pictures. That one was really fun because the part where Boba Fett's gun falls was a challenge. I had to lay it on Luke's lightsaber in a few different ways to get it to look like it was falling. But the action in that test looked awesome in the end! The 5th test took 81 pictures, and the most time! The part that probably took the most time of that animation was the wide shot part where Indy shoots the swordsman. But in the end, that one was really cool as well! The 6th test took 44 pictures. It was a little dark (as in the lighting, not the battles), but it's still a funny little clip. And the last test took 71 pictures. When I watched that one in the end, the AT-RT seemed to take really tiny steps, but whenever I need to have a "chicken walker" walk again in any of my stop-motion videos, it'll take bigger steps. My favorite out of all of these is either the Luke & Boba one or the Swordsman & Indy one.

I'm planning to do full length stop motion videos with my LEGO's, and if you have a suggestion for a video that you think I should do, tell me, and I will try to use it. A few plans that I have are to do LEGO versions of some of my movies, like "Battle of the Heroes," "Jedi Rocks," and others. But over all, stop motion animation is really fun, and even though it takes a lot of time, it is so worth it to watch your things move by themselves and think "I made my own Toy Story!" If you want to try it, go on YouTube or something and watch some how-to videos, or get some inspiration by watching some people's LEGO animations. All you need is a camera, some LEGO's (or whatever you want to animate), and a lot of time! No, really, a lot of time.

The Last Survivors of "Make 'em Laugh Monday"

Today brings a sad post. When I stopped "Make 'em Laugh Monday" in March (on my old website, due to major picture shortage), I had more than five pictures left, but from only four different people. So, I decided that all those pictures deserved to be shown! So, here are the worlds last survivors of "MLM." Sadly enjoy.

Special thanks to these people for sending in the pictures: my mom, Sharon Sossaman, Matthew Davis (from "Jedi Rocks"), and my grandma, Vivian Sossaman. You guys are the last survivors of "MLM." And like I've said on previous posts, if I get enough pictures to do "MLM" again for a week or however long, then I'll do it. The Weekly Review #11

Hey guys, welcome back to the Awesome Blog! Today, I get to review a really cool Star Wars book that's right up my alley when it come to SW books. This book is called "Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vade r." It takes place right after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Actually, a few hours before the end of the movie! So let's get right into it, here goes my review of my latest Star Wars book!

The book is written by James Luceno, the author of many other Star Wars books. And his writing is outstanding! Towards the end of the book in particular. But we'll get to that later. First, let's talk about the plot. Three Jedi, Roan Shryne, Olee Starstone, and Olee's master, Bol Chatak are on a mission to destroy a Separaist outpost on the planet Murkhana. Towards the end of the fight, the Jedi's clone troopers get the message to execute Order 66. Roan, Olee, and Bol's troops disobey the order to let them escape. When the Jedi discover what's going on, they investigate this new enemy... Darth Vader.

Going into this book, I wasn't that excited. But that isn't a bad thing, because whenever I start a Star Wars book that I have no idea of what it's about at all, I'm not that excited. But in the end, I always love the book! Same here. Amazing book! One of the things that I like about it so much is that you get to look at all the chaos of Order 66 through the eyes of a Jedi... most Jedi seeing it happen are being shot down. So that's cool to be able to read about some of the Jedi that where able to escape being killed. Another cool thing (while we're on the topic of Order 66) is the fact that we've all wondered if any of the clone troopers refused to execute Order 66, and now we discover some that did! This book has everything that anybody who's wondered a lot about the event would want!

I also like all the many people that Roan and friends meet along the way. For example (I'll try and keep this part spoiler free), Roan meets someone in relation with him, they meet a crew of space pirates, and even some battle droids! I liked that part because after the chaos of the end of the Clone Wars, the battle droids where all shut off, and the group discovered some battle droids that where reactivated, and they had to fight them. That was a cool part. But next is my favorite part.

As I mentioned earlier, the battle in the end was a particular part that I really liked. That was a huge battle on Kashyyyk, the planet of the Wookiees. Man, that battle was INTENSE! The reason that the Empire was attacking the planet was because of two reasons. One, Roan and the other Jedi where all there, and Darth Vader wanted to gets rid of them. Two, the Empire needed Wookiees to be their slaves to build the Death Star. If you noticed, that idea sounds like "The Force Unleashed," because in the end, Starkiller raided the Death Star... and freed some Wookiees enslaved there. Anyway, it was a fiery, deadly, intense fight. And it's even better since it's written, so I can just imagine the battle's awesomeness. That's always fun to do! It's one of the reasons why I like Star Wars books, is because I can imagine my own version of the awesome battles that the author's write. But yeah, that battle was so amazing! Maybe the coolest part was the ultimate lightsaber duel between Roan and Darth Vader. That was really cool!

Now, there's probably one thing that your wondering: is this book true to its title, as in it's about Vader... or is it all about Roan and pals? Well, it's mostly switching back and forth every chapter between Vader's part of the story and Roan's. But in the end, when the two meet, it's all out awesome. So essentially, it does have a lot about Vader, but Roan seems to be more of the main character. So if you're getting this book to read all about Darth Vader and every single thing he did after Order 66, you should get this book, but don't expect to only read about Vader.

So before I go, let me give you my final thoughts on this book. I really loved the action, the characters, and especially Vader's struggle to be a good Sith. And Roan Shryne seemed to be a really cool Jedi and it's to bad that I won't be seeing more of him (for reasons that I won't tell you). But over all, this book was amazing! And the author, James Luceno, was so great, and I can't wait to read his next book called "Darth Plagueis," the tale of Darth Sidious' master. It looks really cool, and with James writing it, it sure will be! Again, awesome book!

From Ornaments to Extended Editions

Wow, what a jam-packed post this will be! And welcome back to the Awesome Blog everyone! Today I get the pleasure of showing you the complete Lord of the Rings collection of Brady and Jeramy Sossaman! Now, to explain that, MY DAD LOVES LORD OF THE RINGS TO DEATH. He actually was the one who introduced LOTR to me. So over time, I got some awesome LOTR stuff, and I added it to his big bunch of stuff. The result is this wonderful collection that we get to show you now! So first, I'd like to show you how all this craziness is gonna go down. First, I'll start with section 1, items for "Fellowship of the Ring." Section 2 is for items from "The Two Towers." 3rd is the section for "Return of the King" items. And finally, section 4, for other random LOTR items in the Sossaman household.

So let's kick it off with section 1. The first edition in J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved series introduced the world to... well, a new one! Middle Earth is full of many different species, like Elves, Orcs, Hobbits, and many more. In "Fellowship of the Ring," we learn of the dark lord Sauron and his evil ring of power... the same ring that has found it's way into the hands of Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit who lives in the Shire. The ring, however, obsessed Bilbo, and so he went on a very long journey through Middle Earth. He left all of his belongings, including his ring, to his nephew, Frodo. Bilbo's good friend, Gandalf the Gray, told Frodo that he had to destroy the ring in the fires of Mount Doom in the dark land of Mordor, or Sauron and his ring wraiths would take it and rule all of Middle Earth. So Frodo set out to destroy it. Along with Frodo came (of all people) his gardener, Samwise Gamgee. Along the way, they meet people such as Aragorn, who accompanies them on their dangerous trip to Mordor. This book was a very, very popular book, and at the time it came out, it was the most read book of all time, next to the Bible. In 2001, Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema began an epic journey to turn the three Lord of the Rings books... into three motion pictures. The result was a very great movie! The first FOTR item that I'm gonna show you is the extended edition DVD set. This actually came in a box set that my dad bought with all three extended editions of all three films. But this is section one, not section everything, so here are the pictures of the FOTR DVD case.

Next up is an item that helped spark a recent poll. This is the un-extended VHS version of "Fellowship." And I got this at the Goodwill store, which explains why it has the name "Bailey" on the front in PERMANENT (WHY) MARKER. Anyways, here are the pictures.

Next up, the book. Now just to clarify, this is NOT a novelization of the movie. No, this is the actual book. From BEFORE the movie. OK, here's the pic.

And that's it for Section 1. Now for section 2! "The Two Towers" is part two in the LOTR trilogy, in which Frodo and Sam are still trying to get to Mordor, even after their separation from the fellowship. They encounter a creature named Gollum, who helps them get to the Black Gate, the entrance to Mordor. Meanwhile, the rest of the fellowship are off in a ton of different places. But if I told you anything else about this book/movie, it would make no sense at all if you haven't seen the first movie or read the first book. But here's something that does make sense: the extended edition DVD box.

No, I don't have a VHS for this movie, but I do have some other cool stuff for TT, so let's take a look at that. First up, a cool Gandalf the White (same person, different name) bookmark!

And my last TT collectible, the book! And remember, this is NOT a novelization of the film! It's from before the film. Did I already say that?

And that's all for section 2! Next up is my favorite section of all time. The third installment in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, "The Return of the King," is my FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME! It's just so amazingly awesome, it totally deserves that title! I mean the "my favorite movie of all time" title, I wasn't talking about it's actual title. Anyways, it's basically about how Frodo and Sam finally destroy the ring and defeat Sauron. Did I mention that Sauron is connected to the ring? So, somebody killed him a looong time ago, but the ring wasn't destroyed, so he didn't actually die. He just turned into an eye and lived on top of a tower in Mordor to scare the life out of everyone in Gondor. OK, it's not that silly and dumb, it's actually way cooler than my description. But forget that, let's get to the pictures of that extended edition DVD.

Now, to get it over with, the book. Again, do you understand this? This book is NOT a novelization of the film. Get it NOW?! OK, good. Thank you for your honesty.

And normally, that's where it stops. But no, I have a few more tricks up my sleeve. These pictures are of a DVD exclusive model of the city Minas Tirith from ROTK. Enjoy!

This collectible is definitely one of my favorites! So much amazing detailing is slathered all over this thing! You can see some of it in the second and third pictures. The gates, the "grass," everything! All of the little houses are detailed, the archways are detailed, EVERYTHING IS DETAILED! But really, you need to see it in person to see it's full detail glory. Anyway, this is definitely my favorite ROTK collectible!

And now for the final section. This section features pictures of items that are (mostly) from all three movies. First up, the "action figures." The reason that the words action and figures are in quotes is because they aren't necessarily action figures. More like display-only action figures. There are a LOT of very fragile parts, and Legolas' hand is so fragile that when I took him out of the box, it fell off. We still have to buy glue for it. But you won't notice it in the picture. But Gandalf's sword is also very VERY fragile at the handle. It scares me to have him hold his sword. Really, getting him ready for his picture was nerve racking. But let's get to the pictures, shall we?

And that Orc in the wormy thing is a lot scarier when you see the full thing, and since there's kids here, I didn't take a picture of it all. But onto the accessories. Frodo comes with an Elvish cape (that drives me crazy) and his sword, Sting. As you can see from the second picture, it lights up when you press a button on his back. Gandalf comes with a Staff and his sword, Glamdring. Legolas comes with everything! He has about six arrows, a bow for the arrows (that actually kinda works), two Elvish battle knives, and a sword from Rohan. Legolas is my favorite of the four, and he also has the most accessories. The Orc Master comes with a whip and the creepy Orc in the picture next to his. These figures are all great, but like I said, Legolas=AWESOME!

Next up is some more stuff from the DVD's. This is the box art and some other things that are from the individual DVD's. Enjoy!

And now it's time for some... booklet things? Well, I can't think of anything else to call it. Anyways, first is a magazine that my dad got from who knows where, and then a book that I made a long while ago... a how-to book for the Elvish alphabet! Cool, huh? Alrighty, let's get to the pictures!

These pictures go to show you that I'm showing you EVERY SINGLE LOTR ITEM IN MY HOUSE. Well, except for my Frodo costume. Oh, and by the way, there's one more thing that I have to show you.

I know, awesome, right? It's a giant map of Middle Earth! It's hanging up in my room right now... and right over my bed! You actually might have seen it in my first music video that I did a while ago. But now you can see a giant picture of it!

Just Blog!

Well, what do you think of the new Awesome Blog background? pretty neat huh? Now this is just me, but I think it's better than the waves background... and that's saying a lot.

OK, I just got kind of worried. My blog post from Monday about "Important Blog Updates" was a total mistake. Yes, I did delete that post. But when I deleted it, not many people had read it, so that was even better. But when I posted my 10th weekly review, nobody seemed to see it. It got me kind of worried. I know, maybe people didn't actually click on the post to read it and they just read it from the homepage. But I was worried that my post from Monday actually scared people away. So, I decided to do this post today instead of the Lord of the Rings collection tour. Now this post will NOT be a mistake, because I am going to tell you something very neat about how I do my blog.

Since I have to do school and other things before I blog, I have to find a way to fit it all together. So when I get up in the morning, I watch my little sister Maggie while my mom drives my sisters Mary Rose and Jane to school. When my mom gets home (about 9:00), I start school. I normally do three subjects a day, but I am actually doing four now, for reasons that I won't say... until the time comes. But I normally finish school around nap-time. Well, nap time for Maggie and Jillian, not me. Anyway, Whether I'm done or not, nap time is when I blog. Because Mary Rose and Jane are at school, my mom is putting Jillian to bed upstairs, and Maggie is napping. Perfect, the computer's free, the house is quiet... amazing! So I blog. But since I had that schedule of "post stuff on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday," it was kinda like a "work on a post Tuesday, post it on Wednesday. Work on a post Thursday, post it on Friday," kind of thing. That's done now. Now, I'll just blog when I want to. Blog when I can. Blog when I have something to blog about.

JUST BLOG!

Posts will just come up when they do, I will never set dates for anything, and I'll just blog. Another thing that I was worried about with Monday's now-deleted-post is that I came across that I was full of myself. I really didn't mean to sound like that and I'm so sorry! I'm also sorry for using such a big and powerful word like "hypocrite" in a situation that was not hypocritical at all. That's never going to happen again either. Once again, I am so sorry for ever typing up that post! For those who read Monday's post, forget all about! Please! Well, except for the Oreos part (you can view that post here). But please forgive me for posting that post! It was a huge mistake, and I'm very happy that I deleted it. And another thing, this part of the post is probably boring because I'm just apologizing, right? Well don't worry, I also will not do boring things like post about saying sorry. But I just felt that I had to come out and mention that mistake. If any of you got scared away from my blog by that post, don't be scared! I won't make that mistake any more. I'm just going to blog. And it'll only be about interesting things. My mom says that people read my blog because they want to know what I'm up to and what I'm interested in right now, because that's what they like to read. My teacher/advisor from my school says that she loves to connect with me through my blog. I don't want anybody who reads my blog to feel like I'm full of myself or that I'm not going to do interesting posts anymore. That's not what I want to show you guys, and I'm sorry if I did. Like I said, from now on, I'll just blog! The Weekly Review #10

If you remember a few weeks ago when I reviewed book one in the "Legend of the Guardians" series, I told you that I would review the second book as well. I actually had the next two reviews after that already planned, so I had to do this three weeks after I reviewed the first one! But it's still here, so let's get right to the review!

"The four owls looked below and saw the vast sea glinting with silver spangles from the moon's light and then, directly ahead, spreading into the night, were the twisting branches of the largest tree they had ever seen, the Great Ga'Hoole Tree."

Legend of the Guardians is a series of 15 books about an owl named Soren and his adventures to stop all evil with his friends. Book two, "The Journey," is about Soren and his friends Gylfie, Twilight, Digger, and Soren's nest-maid snake, Mrs. Plithiver, traveling to the Great Ga'Hoole Tree to find out how to help stop the sinister St. Aegolius Academy and all other evil forces in the world.

The setting of this book is all over the place, because the beginning of the book is a big "road trip." But the main location is the Great Ga'Hoole Tree. Another location is the Ice Narrows.

What I like a lot about the group of owls (and Mrs. P.) is their bond. They have such a tight bond with each other that they all want to be in the same class in the Great Tree and never leave each other's sight! It's always nice when they work together.

This book has just as much adventure as the first one! In the very first chapter, the band has to escape a mobbing of crows! In the twentieth chapter, Soren has to help stop a forest fire! When you love adventure, it's a good thing to read a book that has lots in it!

At the Great Tree, you have to take many classes to become a Guardian of Ga'Hoole. The teachers of the classes are known as Rybs. Some of the Rybs' names are Strix Struma, Elvan, Ezylryb, and Poot. They all teach their own class, or "chaw" at the Great Ga'Hoole Tree.

If you read (and liked) the first Legend of the Guardians book, you are going to LOVE this book! It is just as full of action, adventure, and excitement as the first one. I would totally and completely recommend this book to any fan of this series.

The Weekly Review #9

Hello everyone, I'm back with my 9th weekly review! This week's review: DC*B. That's right, today I am reviewing the David Crowder*Band concert film "Remedy Club Tour" from their concert tour for the album "Remedy." Now this is a few years old, but I haven't watched it until now, so it's new to me. And exciting! David Crowder*Band is my favorite band of all time, so this was a real treat to watch! If you remember my "New Stuff" post, I said that I was going to buy this on iTunes, but my dad already had it on DVD, so I had 10 more dollars. Actually, the DVD has more material on it than on iTunes, which just has the movie. So I am very glad that my dad had this! So, let's get into the review!

First up, just to get it done with, the bonus features. Well, there is quite a lot! First up is the "how to" videos. Each and every member of DC*B goes through and teaches you how to play all of the songs from the concert on the instruments that they play in the songs. So for example, if you wanted to know how to play "Here Is Our King" for your band, and you play the guitar, you just go to (well, there are a few members of the band that play guitar, but for example) David's section, and click on "Here Is Our King," and he'll teach you how to play the guitar part of the song. Then you go to B-Wack's section (obviously that's a nick-name) and your drummer can learn how to do to the drums on that song. Pretty neat, but I don't really need them. My dad really likes them though. I do to, I just don't need them... yet. The drumming is coming.

The second bonus material bit is called "On the Road with David Crowder*Band." It's a really cool video, about 10 minutes, that kinda takes you through the band being on tour and stuff. It's really neat, and I like behind the scenes stuff. Just watch the behind the scenes video for "Jedi Rocks." Anywho, this is a really nice video, very well put together, and all-around fun to watch! Speaking of all-around fun to watch...

Now for the concert film part. Wow. I didn't even go to the concert, but I feel like I was singing with the audience. What a film! Big props go to Nate Weaver for an awesome job directing this movie, it was so great! The concert was filmed with seven cameras, and the footage is from two different concerts: one from New York (the film was pretty much based off of the NYC concert) and another from Atlanta. The concert is a full 85 minutes long, full of so many great songs. Some songs, Like "How He Loves" where not out at the time (at least by the DC*B), because this was from 2008. So you won't be hearing that song, or any songs from "Church Music" on there. But a lot of the classic DC*B songs are in it, like "O Praise Him." And at some of the parts in between songs when they're talking, you just feel like you're getting to know them better. It's really funny, at one point, David asked Jack what number concert that the NYC one would have been. Jack said that it was the 30th one they did on that tour so far, and David was like "no it's not!" They're just really funny and giving people, and this shows throughout the concert. And on the song "...Neverending..." David plays a guitar that B-Wack made out of a Guitar Hero guitar that he made work like a real guitar! David even said when he brought out the guitar "B-Wack's mind works in ways that the rest of us cannot comprehend." And the guitar worked really well too! What's A Harvest Festival?

Hey everybody, today is a very special day! Matthew and I got another chance to do a video together: this time... for our church! Jeanette Kleeman of First Christian Church saw "Jedi Rocks," and she thought that it would be great if Matt and I could do a video advertisement for First Christian's annual harvest festival! So of course, we said yes, and this video was the outcome. Now since it is an advertisement, it is a little short (1 minute and 24 seconds to be exact), but it's still pretty funny. The Weekly Review #8

I know, the anticipation for this post has been building, huh? Well, I am here today to review my newest action figures! So I'm just gonna get right into it with a cool little video/slideshow of the figures. It includes footage of me opening the box of the figures, and detailed pictures of all three of them. And some awesome music to go with it. So, let's watch that, and then I can get to reviewing!

Alright, now that you've seen that, it's time to get to the reviewing. This review is going to be in three parts, starting out with my favorite figure of the three...

ARC Trooper Commander (Captain Fordo)

Wow, I have been looking forward to this figure ever since he was announced at Toy Fair. But he has a little back-story. In 2003, Cartoon Network started a micro series in the time period of the Clone Wars, right in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. However, Sith hadn't been released yet. So the series would wrap up in 2005 when the movie came out. A perfect timing. But in 2008, Cartoon Network and Lucasfilm started a new Clone Wars series with full length episodes. So the Clone Wars micro-series was basically out of the question. But it was still loved by Star Wars fans. So, in 2011, Hasbro decided to make an action figure in honor of the show: but call the figure by the wrong name. Yes, they did know the guy's real name, but I guess Lucasfilm didn't want Hasbro to make a figure strictly made for the micro-series or something weird like that. I don't know. But yeah, the card (that's what we collectors call the cardboard on the back) says that he's an "ARC Trooper Commander." Well he is, but his real name is Captain Fordo. This guy saw some major action in the show, and so this figure was obviously going to make some money. And a few bucks of that money are from me now. This figure held number one on my list since he came out. And I finally got my chance to get him. I got him from Brian's Toys, an online re-seller of Star Wars toys, collectibles, etc. Here's a link to where I bought him: Captain Fordo. And I know, it's kinda ridiculous to spend that amount of money on three and three quarter inches of plastic, but he was worth it. But let's just get to the details of the figure, shall we?

Articulation: ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged elbows, ball hinged wrists, swivel torso, ball hinged hips, ball hinged knees, and ball hinged ankles.

Accessories: Phase 1 helmet, pauldron, belt with working holsters, soft goods kama, two modified blaster pistols, phase 2 helmet, and shoulder pauldron/belt with working holsters.

My thoughts on this figure: he's amazing. I have never had a figure as amazing as Fordo. His detailing is great, his articulation is great, he has an overload of accessories, and he's all out awesome! At first I knew that I would like his Phase 1 armor better, but seeing him up close in his Phase 2 armor makes it look cooler. I don't know which version I like better. If you have the money, PLEASE I BEG OF YOU buy this figure. He was totally worth my long wait, he'll be worth yours. Even though you will NEVER find him in the store, remember that it's always cooler to get something awesome shipped to you in a box. Remember that.

Jango Fett

This guy is another figure with accessories galore. Jango Fett from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. What a great figure as well. He probably looked awesome in the video and you where like "OMG, that guy looks so awesome!" Well, it's true, not to brag. And to emphasize his coolness, here are his pictures.

Articulation: ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged and swivel arms, swivel torso, swivel hips, ball hinged knees, and ball hinged ankles.

Accessories: Removable helmet, removable headset, removable jetpack, firing missile tip, two WESTAR blaster pistols, soft goods rain poncho, and working holsters.

Like I said, quite a lot of accessories. This figure is another awesome one, with so many different ways to display him, you'd need over ten of this guy to display all of his different outfits. Well, not different outfits, but you know what I mean. About his holsters, I get REALLY worried sometimes putting his guns in them, because the plastic on the guns is really flappy, and the holsters hold them in really good. So it's a little scary putting them in. My mom was putting them in once and I was starting to get a little worried. But if you are a fan of Mandalorians, Jango Fett, or Attack of the Clones, this is your kind of figure! Definitely worth your money, he's got like 50,000 different ways to display him! And if I had to chose a favorite way to display him, I think he looks coolest with his poncho on... just saying.

Kit Fisto

Now for the final figure: also from AOTC. Kit Fisto is a Jedi that is seen briefly in the film Force pushing C-3PO to the ground. He was seen briefly again in Revenge of the Sith and after a few swings of his lightsaber, was killed by Darth Sidious. He has been in several episodes of The Clone Wars, and a ton of books and comics. The figure here is supposedly from Attack of the Clones, but the figure is obviously based off of the Revenge of the Sith version of Fisto. You can tell the difference, because the image on the left of him in his box shows it. The figure's eyes look different than the one on the card. The card is an image from AOTC. Personally, I prefer the ROTS version of Kit, so this is still a good (non-creepy) figure. But if Hasbro's gonna make a figure that looks like the Revenge of the Sith Kit Fisto, put him on a ROTS card. Anyways, let's get to the pictures.

Articulation: ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged elbows, swivel wrists, ball jointed torso, ball hinged hips, ball hinged knees, and ball hinged ankles.

Accessories: Lightsaber with blade, Lightsaber hilt with peg for hanging onto Kit's belt, and a removable soft goods cloak.

And while this figure does not have near as mangy accessories as Jango and Fordo, he's still pretty cool! As you can see from the last picture, his tentacles are very detailed, and actually, the whole figure has amazing detailing! My friend Matthew Davis is a huge fan of Kit Fisto, so he is dying over this figure, and I can see why! He is all around a great figure for an awesome Jedi! About his tentacles though, they do limit his head movability a little, but not as much as you would think. The part that can kinda bug you sometimes is those front two tentacles. I get kinda scared sometimes that they are going to snap off. But yeah, he's a really great figure, no complaints about him at all. And I just love his lightsaber. I don't know why, but I do. Anyways, awesome figure!

A Tribute to Steve Jobs

A great visionary has recently left our world. The legacy of former Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, however, will never end. Today I am here to talk to you about the death of Steve Jobs, and why he was so important to the history of technology. But one thing you might have noticed when you got here is that my blog's background is different. Well, that's because every season, I will be changing my blog's background according to the season! That way, my blog will always have a fresh new look, and you get to enjoy the Awesome Blog in a new way. Right now, it's fall, so this will be my fall background. It will change to a winter background on the first day of winter. But I hope you like the new background! Anyhow, before I get into my thoughts on Steve's death, first I would like to show you a few responses to the loss of Mr. Jobs.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the time is here! Today is the world premiere of a short film by Brady Sossaman and Matthew Davis... JEDI ROCKS! A lot of people have been looking forward to this day, and now it's here! Both me and Matt have been looking forward to this day as well, and we wanted to say thanks for all of your support. But before I get to the video, there where a few things I wanted to say personally. The poll for "Jedi Rocks" ended up pretty good! 5 out of 7 people said that they where really excited for the film! 2 people had no idea what "Jedi Rocks" was, so in a previous post, I gave them some places to check out for info on the short film. If you two didn't catch that, there's a link above to the post. But yeah, there are two little things in the video that have to do with our voices that I wanted to point out. Basically, Matt's character is an alien, and my character is a lot older than I am. So my voice isn't actually that deep, and his voice (obviously) doesn't sound like that in real life. Just a heads up. Besides that, I think that's it for my little introduction. Yep, that means that you are now able to watch... a world premiere of one of the greatest Star Wars fan short films of all time...

My New Stuff

Wow, what a haul! Ladies and gentleman, I recently got to help my dad (and his boss) do what is called "scrap" at Flynn Plumbing, and I hit the jackpot afterwards. But let me tell you what scrap is first. Oh, and hello. OK, so scrap is when they get a ton of brass, copper, or other metal-like stuff, and they take it to the recycling place, called Aaron's Metals. But there is some parts of the metals that the recycling place would have to take apart to sell to people, so that metal gets Flynn Plumbing less money. The "cleaner" the metal, the more money it's worth. So I helped my dad with that, and I made me some money! Well let me tell you, there's a lot you can do with $60. So, I decided that I would buy me some Star Wars action figures. Well, I spent way more money on this than you would think. For three action figures, I spent 52 stinkin' dollars! Ridiculous, I know. Well, I had to pay $10 for shipping, and each one was about $12. Now, I know what you're thinking: Brady, why don't you just buy them at the store instead of online? Well, two reasons. 1, it's way more fun to get the coolest figures ever made in a box than a plastic bag. And 2, Hasbro has been having some BAD distribution problems lately, so there's not much at the stores. And the figures that I want area way to popular to find in the stores anyway. So I had to get them online. After that, I was going to get a concert film from David Crowder*Band's "Remedy Club" tour. But then I found out that my dad already had that! So, that was 10 more dollars for me. With those 10 dollars, I bought me some Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and (finally) some Indiana Jones songs on iTunes. A few of the Star Wars songs that I bought are going to be featured in "Jedi Rocks" and the rest are just for my listening pleasure. :-) So, today I'm going to talk a little bit about those things. And maybe just a tiny bit about "Jedi Rocks."

So how this is going is to work is, I'm going to start with the stuff that I don't have much to talk about. First up, the David Crowder*Band concert movie. Well, I got to watch the whole thing, and let me tell you, it is very, very cool! Now, I'm not going to talk about it that much, because I'm going to review it in two weeks, but yeah, it's pretty amazing! Any DC*B fan will love it! Be sure to visit the links on the previous paragraph to get to the concert film on iTunes, and to visit their official website.

About my action figures, there was a problem that occurred during the ordering process, so my dad only ordered them yesterday. However, they should be here around Friday. But I'm not going to talk about them now, I will do that on my next weekly review. But I will tell you what figures I'm getting:

There are links on each name to go to the online store that I bought them at, and the figure themselves. The one that I'm most excited about is the ARC Trooper Commander. Oh, and you should know that he's actually named Captain Fordo. But he is just so amazingly cool. If you want to here my full review of all three, next week's review will be a review of all three figures! Be looking out for that next Wednesday!

Here's what I have to talk about the most: I got 10 new songs on iTunes. I got some Star Wars songs, some Pirates of the Caribbean songs, and (finally) some Indiana Jones songs. Here's a list of the songs I got, in alphabetical order (oolala).

So I'm not going to review these songs very much, but let me tell you, I made some good picks! I was very excited to finally get some Indiana Jones songs, and most of the Star Wars songs are for "Jedi Rocks" and you can tell one is obvious. But that obvious song is probably my favorite Star Wars song that I bought. As for the Pirates of the Caribbean songs I got, they are both awesome! "The Kraken" is my favorite of the two, because it can be used for any kind of action sequence. It's very neutral! So if you have or want to get any of these songs, please tell me your thoughts on them!

So out of this haul, I got some very neat stuff! I just learned that my box of figures just left Minnesota, so it should be here around Friday. I will have my video camera by the window every day until the box comes, so I can film it arriving and make some sort of neat video for my review of the figures. That should be posted next Wednesday.

I just heard some breaking news. This originally wasn't going to be on this post, but I just had to address this. Steve Jobs, a VIP in the world of the Apple corp, just passed away a little more than an hour ago. This is very sad news, and I know that he was a very inspiring man to all of his co-workers. I might do a full tribute post on Monday, but I don't know for sure. But please be thinking of Apple right now, because this was pretty hard on them. At the Apple website, there is a dedication to him, and an email address if you would like to send Apple your condolences. Click on the link above.

The Weekly Review #7 (re-post)

Since yesterday when I had 1,000 page views, I gained 47 more? That's surprising because I don't ever do posts on the weekends (I just had to do one yesterday though), so no one usually looks at my blog on the weekends. But that post spread fast! Anyways, if you haven't read that post, please check it out here. But the point of this post is not to talk about that, because that's so... yesterday. Today's post is about reviewing! Now this review is not new, it's actually a re-post of an old review on my old website. Since I couldn't think of anything to review this week, I just went with this! Today's review is on the first book in the "Legend of the Guardians" series, named "The Capture." It's a great book, and I am here to review it for you... again! So buckle in and enjoy!

Legend of the Guardians is an amazing series, starting with the book "The Capture". This chapter is the story of an owlet named Soren who is plucked up by owls, and taken to the dreaded St. Aegolius Academy. There, he meets another owlet named Gylfie, and together they hope to escape and stop the sinister owls of St. Aggies.

The setting takes place in many different locations, because Soren and Gylfie travel a lot. Although, the main location of the book is St. Aggies. Another location in the book is Sorens home, the forest kingdom of Tyto.

What I like about Soren and Gylfie is their determination. They want to get away from St. Aggies so that they can find the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, who they don’t even know are real! They are so determined to save other owlets from the threat of St. Aggies, that they do what no owl has ever done before! This element of the story makes the book more interesting too.

I love adventure, and this book has a lot of it! When Soren and Gylfie first learn how to fly, it’s quite an adventure when they do fly! It’s also adventurous every time that the two try to escape of foil some of the plans of the owls of St. Aggies.

Soren is very attached to his family, who he misses after he’s captured. His mom and dad are Marella and Noctus. He also has a brother, Kludd, and a sister, Eglantine. His family has a nest maid who is a blind snake. Her name is Mrs. Plithiver. Soren especially loves Eglantine, and she is one of the reasons why he is so determined to find the Guardians of Ga’Hoole and stop St. Aggies.

Lastly, I would like to recommend this book to anyone who likes action, adventure, and daring deeds. Although it may not seem interesting to you, it is an amazing story! If you don’t feel like reading the book, then go watch the movie. I hope that you can enjoy both. And, be sure to read the rest of the series too!

As I said before, this is a review of the first book in this series, and I am going to review the second one soon, but I already have stuff planned for the next two weeks. Nathan Sawaya Interview (re-post)

It's finally here! On my old website (which you can still visit here), I go the chance to do an email interview with LEGO artist extraordinaire Nathan Sawaya! That blog post was very popular (Nathan even commented on the post, just look in the comments section here), so I decided that it should have a place here on my new blog. So I'm doing this! If you haven't read the interview yet, or if you want to re-live the memories, this post is for you! Hey, why am I still yapping? Let's get started! Enjoy!

Brady: You must have been building with LEGO's for a long time. How old

were you when you started building with LEGO's?

Nathan: It was Christmas 1978 when I received my first box of LEGO bricks from my Grandparents. I remember ripping into the package and building a LEGO house right then, oblivious to the rest of Christmas morning. It seems like I have been creating with LEGO ever since that day. Of course, these days my LEGO creations are a little bigger than a toy house.

Playing with LEGO growing up let me build anything I wanted to build. It let my imagination control the playtime. If I wanted to be a rock star that day, I could build myself a guitar. If I wanted to be an astronaut, I could build myself a rocket. It was the perfect tool to lead me into my current life as an artist, where I get to create whatever I want. And get paid for it!

With some other toys, if you lost a piece, then the whole toy couldn’t be played with, but not with LEGO bricks. If you lost one LEGO brick, you just had to be creative and find some other way to build it.

That creativity led me to becoming a full time artist. As an artist LEGO is a great medium for creating anything I can imagine. I still use those same rectangular plastic bricks that I had as a child, but now I try and use them in a way that hasn’t been seen before. By taking the bricks and making them more of an art medium rather than only a toy.

By using LEGO as an art medium, I have been able to put together an entire museum exhibit that is currently touring North America. It has become a very popular exhibit as both kids and adults are attracted to the idea of artwork created solely out of LEGO.

Brady: Who or what was your biggest inspiration to start your career?

Nathan: I have been fooling around with sculpture all of my life, but it was about eight years ago that I challenged myself to create a large scale sculpture using only LEGO bricks. It got a good response and I soon put together a few more pieces. I posted photos of my works on my website, brickartist.com, and soon thereafter I was getting commissions from all over the world.

At the time I was reading a book of Tom Friedman’s art. Among other things, Friedman uses non-traditional media to create sculptures. I was inspired and I realized then that LEGO art was a viable option.

I just finished publishing my own book, The Art of the Brick, which is a collection of my works from the past few years. I hope kids use it to become inspired to be their own artists.

Brady: You must get thousands of ideas for your creations. What happens

after you get an inspiration for a model?

Nathan: I usually start by sketching an idea on paper before I dig into the bricks.

Brady: What are some other hobbies of yours, besides building with LEGO's?

Nathan: I like to cook and because I like to cook, I like to eat. And because I like to eat, I have to run, which I don’t necessarily like, but I do it anyway.

Brady: You were on "Mythbusters" to help build a giant LEGO boulder. What

was it like to be on the show?

Nathan: Exciting! Everyone involved with the production was cool, so that made it fun. It's too bad the ball broke apart...and all my LEGO bricks went flying everywhere.

Brady: You must have hundreds of LEGO bricks. How do you organize them all?

Nathan: I actually have about 1.5 million loose bricks in my studio! Crazy, I know. I organize them in clear stacking bins. That way I can see what is inside and they take up less space so I have more room to build.

Brady: You've made so many LEGO models. What's your favorite creation that

you've made?

Nathan: The next one!
